It's also a really fantastic lesson on the basics of what goes into the build of a typical modern house.
Strength testing safety screens
Ever wondered how strong the security screen doors really are? We've all seen the ads on TV of the fake robbers trying to push their foot through the door, so we wanted to put one of the best brands on the market- to the test. Amplimesh' new range Intrudaguard, took the bait! World famous stunt bike rider Lukey Luke gave us a hand to really do a road-test. This is one NOT to miss!

Walt's new home build
Walt starts his mini apprenticeship building a brand new home from scratch! Over the next 6 weeks, Walt will bring you a really rare behind the scenes look at what happens during a new build. Getting his hands dirty and learning new skills, the guys at Sekisui House put him to work. This week we're learning about planning, the cut out and getting the slab ready to pour
Battery powered chainsaws
Continuing in our run of battery powered machines, Dani got her hands on a monster chainsaw which is breaking all the rules. This thing is comparable to a petrol or cable powered saw and stood up well to our testing. Not to be outdone by the boys, Dani took to chainsawing like a duck to water!
